Getting Started

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple example steps.

Environment set up requirements

To run this game, you need ruby installed in your environment. Run the following command:

$ ruby -v

You should have a result similar to this:

ruby 2.6.5p114 (2019-10-01 revision 67812) [x86_64-linux]

If you don't get that result, follow this link and install Ruby in your local environment.

Prerequisites

You must have a text editor installed on your machine. You can use any default text editor that comes with the system like Notepad but advanced text editors as Visual Studio Code, Atom, Sublime is recommended.

Setup

  • Clone the repository to your folder of choice using Git :

  • git clone https://github.com/FrederickMih/Enumerable_methods/tree/collection:

  • Then go to that folder using the commands below. Let us say the intended folder where the project cloned

    is 'Fred' then navigate to Fred's directory by using its absolute path:

  • cd /home/username/Fred

  • Open the Enumerable_methods.rb file (in the Fred folder) on your text editor and then run the .rb file.
