Not only is it using a number greated than a 32 bit MAXINT, it's also trying to append a variable that doesn't exist.

Not only is it using a number greated than a 32 bit MAXINT, it's also
trying to append a variable that doesn't exist.
This also does a whitespace-only reformat of that function.
