Server switching

When a player is moving in the universe, it has to switch from one server to another. Each servers has the responsibility of an area of the universe.

Area of effect

A world server is responsible for the movement and interaction of players in a section of the universe. But if a player is leaving their area, they still keep the connection alive (in case the player come back into its area fastly).
The connection with the world server is made in what is called "The World Server area of effect", which is wider than the whole section the world server is responsible.


Only one world server is responsible for one section of the map, but multiple servers area of effect can collide in the same universe area (in the diagram below, see the area of effect of World Server 2 and 4 that collide)


The following diagram is explaining what happens when players are entering the area of effect of another World Server and what happens when entering the section (area of responsibility) of this World Server.
