IMX.8 Support Question

Hello Guys

Somebody knows about the IMX.8 support?
Is it on the roadmap or is it already done and in the testing phase,
some information about that was great then we plan to update our hardware but we need the gstreamer-imx plugins. By the way, you did a great job.

This is planned. I currently have no i.MX8 hardware, which is the main reason why this has not started yet. Once I get it, I'll begin.

Update: I ordered an i.MX8 board. Hopefully I can start on i.MX8 support soon.

Hi,

Are the gst-plugins specifically for IMX
(such as imxvpuenc_mjpeg) working on the IMX8? If so is there an image with them? The most recent release on the main website doesnt contain them.

I now got an imx8m machine. I am updating libimxvpuapi now, and then will update gstreamer-imx, which will get a major restructuring.

gstreamer-imx v2 is now in master, so imx8 support is here. Closing this.
