Problem with 2.12 bios

Sorry, can't really say. I don't own the UX31A, up to version 2.11 it did work. I updated my UX32VD to 2.12 too, and it still works. My guess is that it has something to do with the asus-nb-wmi module which your laptop cannot load. Lets continue the analysis to that further in the archlinux forum,where you apparently referenced my backlightfix here.
