Looks like I was mistaken, this likely never worked, the bug was introduced in this commit in February and wasn't merged into production until #676 |

Resolves FRH-1997
It appears that this code relied on a bug in sequelize which was patched when the package was bumped.
Note: I continued to use operator aliases in order to match the code style used throughout the project. However this is deprecated and should probably be removed in a future version.
