This repository contains a Tampermonkey script that can backup your Showdown teams with a button click on Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and other browsers that support Tampermonkey. (Thanks GPT 4 for the README)
Tampermonkey is a free browser extension that allows users to install and run user scripts that modify the behavior of web pages. Tampermonkey scripts can be used to add new functionality, change the appearance of web pages, or automate repetitive tasks.
Tampermonkey can be installed from the Chrome Web Store for Google Chrome or from the Mozilla Add-ons website for Firefox. After installing the extension, you should see a Tampermonkey icon in your browser's toolbar.
To use the script provided in this repository, follow these steps:
- Install Tampermonkey as described above.
- Open the script file
script.js
in this repository. - Click the "Raw" button in the top-right corner of the script file to view the raw script.
- Copy the entire script to your clipboard.
- Click the Tampermonkey icon in your browser's toolbar and select "Create a new script."
- Paste the script into the editor window that appears.
- Click the "File" menu in the editor and select "Save."
The script should now be active on any web page that matches the URL pattern specified in the @include
directive at the top of the script file.
If you find a bug or have a feature request for this script, please open an issue in this repository. Pull requests are also welcome!
