GS_M-2.0.8 fixed a replication bug
The G_String_M installers for Linux (.deb), and Windows (.msi) can be downloaded directly from this page and installed on the target computer.

For Apple (.dmg) the situation is more complicated due to Apple's restrictive distribution policy. First GS_MV-2.0.7.dmg has to be downloaded to an usb memory stick via a non-Apple computer. The program can then be installed on a Mac from the memory stick. Depending on the specific OS it may also be necessary to disable the mac Gatekeeper. I am indebted to Dr. Greig Paul of Strathclyde University for clarifying some related political and legal issues.
