clean up volvox example data #187

In release tarballs, remove ctgB from the example data. Its intentionally-missing data causes a lot of confusion in new users.

In development, make sure the volvox example data defaults to showing ctgA.

Actually, will be enough to just make sure the volvox example data defaults to ctgA.
