I would really like to have Aspell say what gender a word is (in
languages where gender is important). For instance, instead of just
"is correct", it could say "is masculine", "is feminine", "is neuter",
"is masculine or feminine", or whatever.

If it did this only when checking a single word, and only when the
word is correctly spelled, that much by itself would be very useful.
And it might not be difficult.

The hard work would be putting the data in the dictionaries -- but
others will do that, over time. (Maybe it could be scraped
automatically out of Wiktionary.)
