Crypto to fiat price for the MacBook Pro Touch Bar. Install JSON helper. Install BTT (Better Touch Tool)
In BTT, navigate to "gestures" then "TouchBar". On the bottom, choose "widget". In the drop-down menu under "Select touch bar widget", choose "Run Apple Script and show return value". Press "advanced configuration". Choose a name for the widget and enter the JSON code. Choose the desired crypto in the api link in the code. (eg. swap to LTC, XMR, etc.)
For the Coinbase API, frequent updates work fine. Bitfinex will block you for a few seconds/minutes if you pull too often. 40 seconds per update seem to work fine, depending on how many widgets you have at a time.
