A Simple Temperature Controlled Fan

Together we will design and build a temperature controlled fan. Two requirments of the project are to use surface mount components and a microcontroller. This implies that the pcb should include a way to program the microcontroller. Another requirement is the inclusion of a sensor. In our case the sensor will be a thermometer of some kind. The fan will fulfill the last requirment of an actuator. The fan's speed will need to be adjusted and properly powered. The sensor and actuator will be linked to the microcontroller which will be programmed to make the temperature control automatic. Finally, we will incorporate all of these pieces into a custom pcb board. Using Eagle or Ki CaD is the preffered method to design such a board. When the project is completed we will test and demonstrare our project to the rest of the class. Hopefully to inspire others and confirm the skills we have otained here at Portland State University.
