Setup Guide
This page and its subpages explain how to setup, deploy and use the hogarama project.
We often provide scripts for automated installing, but if that doesn't work for some reason we also provide a manual installation instruction.
There are more than one ways to setup a local (development-)environment for Hogarama and some developer prefer one and others another. So you might find more than one description to accomplish the same.
First you need access to our Openshift4 Cluster.
All you need for this setup is a browser to develop Hogarama.
Follow the instructions in CodeReady Workspaces.
To work with the server part of the project, you need OpenShift. To configure it locally, you have the following options:
- Using Minishift: See Setup-Minishift-Development-Environment
- Using oc cluster up: See Local-OpenShift-with-oc-cluster-up
To develop for the JBoss (WildFly) part Hogarama, you have the following Options:
- Do everything on OpenShift including the IDE. This is described in Setup-Minishift-Development-Environment
- Develop with a local IDE but deploy the container in OpenShift. This is described at the end of Local-OpenShift-with-oc-cluster-up
- Develop and run JBoss locally and use port-forwarding to connect to the Mongo-DB in OpenShift. This is decribed in Local-JBoss-Development
