Make button and hotkey for this. Like in xfce4-terminal.
Probably can be used vte_terminal_reset ()?

ctrl+L does this already. That's the "standard" hotkey for clearing a terminal

ctrl+L scrolls existed text up, not delete it. It`s very big differnce, when works with big outputs (for example compilation log)

To clear completely a terminal reset is the command you want.

I am not sure if it was a good idea to add yet-another-feature to guake for something the shell itself can do/should do, it might just make the code a little harder to maintain (now in the re-write of guake, you have to incorporate this feature as otherwise users will complain that something disappeared).

And in addition to reset, there was always the option of: ctrl+shift+t & ctrl+d

indeed this needs to be ported. Some features are quite useful to add, but I also don't want to end up with bloaty menu, with too many items,...

I have the same fear and I wonder if this wasn't a good candidate for not being included :D

Command reset require stoping current process.

Is there a reason you need to reset a terminal while a process is running?

I don't use this feature I just love to write useless code and commits to somewhere.

I hope to god you're kidding.

I mean, even gnome-terminal doesnt have the ability to completely clear a terminal while a process is running.
