Here is what is happening:
Press (accidentally) AF REC on the K4
Try to transmit with WSJT-X (e.g., via the TUNE button)
WSJT-X sends a TX; command (because of PTT via CAT)
Because the K4 is in AF REC mode (not fully implemented yet), it ignores the TX; command, and stays in receive mode
WSJT-X keeps sending TQ; commands waiting for a response (are we in transmit yet?)
The answer will always be "No" (TQ0;) until you tap XMIT or close a footswitch, then it will be "yes" (TQ1;) and all is well
It doesn't happen when using PTT via RTS because there is no TX; command sent or ignored.
