the option "Burned into video (Forced Subtitles Only)" doesn't work in dual language audio #4392
Comments
Can you please provide the log of the encode. |
Install: Video log: Main log: |
another example: mkv with dual audio (english and spanish) with forced subtitles in spanish (included in the mkv file), with parts spoken in arabic In this case, when handbrake is going to encode it from mkv to mp4 or mkv to mkv and then I play the output video (with any player like vlc or similar or smart tv), the forced subtitles don't appear and workaround doesn't work in this case summary: the option "Burned into video (Forced Subtitles Only)" doesn't work |
Your encode log shows you've only got a subtitle search pass there and no suitable tracks are available for it. Use the "Add" button instead and select the track you want. Naming is optional but it can help identify the track in the player. |

Problem Description
handbrake does not embed forced subtitles in dual language audio
For example, a video (mkv) that contains two audios (English and Spanish), but both audios include Japanese parts and handbrake does not detect this and does not activate the forced subtitles in the output video, in the parts where Japanese is spoken (which if does the original mkv video)
