Ideas for further tests, brainstormed with PattuX:

  1. If you play and entomb (any non-DR minion), replay (minion), give it an added Deathrattle than play N'Zoth, will N'Zoth be tricked into summoning that (minion) (since it is currently a 'deathrattle minion')? (related test is to cast Ancestral Spirit on a minion that dies first)

  2. If you play and kill Malorne, replay Malorne and silence it then play N'Zoth, will N'Zoth be tricked into NOT summoning that Malorne (since it is currently not a 'deathrattle minion')?

the wiki says:

N'Zoth will summon Unearthed Raptor if its Battlecry copied a Deathrattle, but not if its Battlecry did not copy a Deathrattle.

apparently this is not true, but I wonder what happens if Unearthed Raptor gains a Deathrattle after it's been killed and pulled out of the graveyard.

I've tested this with @10925 and found that N'zoth still summoned Malorne.I guess N'zoth checks its cardID to distinguish if it's a Deathrattle minion, rather than its present condition.

@PattuX and I also enchanted a minion in the graveyard to add a deathrattle, and that wasn't brought back. I'm not absolutely convinced this is the same test as adding the deathrattle in play, but I'm pretty sure at this point that N'Zoth looks for innate deathrattles.

If anyone likes getting insanely lucky, one other test:

  • Play untransformed Shifter Zerus, kill it and get it back into a player's hand
  • Wait for Zerus to become C'Thun
  • Play Doomcaller

This might need to be re-tested because of #315.

Confirmed in 10.2.
Though the interaction between Curious Glimmerroot and Molten Blade (and Zerus) is fixed (#718), this one hasn't be fixed yet.

This bug can be used with Chameleos to resurrect Weapons and Heroes.
(Weapons: Equip it. Heroes: Become the new hero with 30 Health and 5 Armor, but no hero power. Spells: Eternal Servitude adds the spell to hand, and other resurrecting effects does nothing.)

This bug is fixed now. It seems that many mechanics (including resurrecting) don't use EntityID anymore.

Edit: it only resurrects Zerus or Chameleos now.
