TSAL 1.0
TSAL 1.0 is the first tsal design that was being made during the time this wiki system got developed. The system will be used in DEV16 and EV17.
System goals:
- Design will be simplified compared to past designs
- Redundancy superior to the past designs.
- High priority isolation between HV and LV
Challenges:
- Cable fault detection
- low consumption
- HV/LV separation
The TSAL system is split into 3 components, the light module TSAL Lights 1.0, the main TSAL board TSAL main 1.0 and the HV guard 1.0. A picture displaying the architecture can be found below. The split of this board is done because of the systems' various dependencies.
Since TSAL is a safety critical system, and therefore has to be "bullet proof", circuitry connection safety have been incorporated into the design. It uses the connection RX/TX protocol 1.0 for that reason.
