This is close as it gets a carbon copy of Mercantile (https://github.com/mapbox/mercantile) for arbitrary projections, via WebMapTileService.
This module currently provides some of the same utitilies as mercantile to
facillitate using tile services that present their tiles in a local coordinate system.
