PNG: "Format of this file is not supported" from one day to the next #189
Comments
Same here. All PNG files I've tried gives the same result. |
Duplicate of #162. |
I doubt this issue is a duplicate of issue #162. I use the app to compress PNG files all the time. It just happened recently with version 1.7. From the release note: Switch from OptiPNG to Oxipng. The change likely causes this issue. |
Agree. I literally use it every day for PNG optimizations and it started few days ago. (Probably 1.7, not sure) |
Hey guys, I'm wondering if we haven't all been using 1.7.0 since April? It was released on April 5th. I wasn't paying close attention, but I think we've had 1.7.0 on our machines for months and it was something about the flatpak environment that caused the issue to occur. I did have a bunch of flatpak-related updates come through the day before this started happening. Either way, we can use the Snap for now as a workaround. |
Looking into this today :) |
Fixed in 1.8.0 available on flathub :) |
Fix confirmed. Works great, thanks! |
Yup, fix is working great. Thanks a bunch! |
