Extension Activation hangs when connecting to a server that requires VPN connection and VPN is off

What did you do?

When connecting to an OpenShift cluster that requires a VPN, and the VPN the extension activates after a minute of stalling.

What did you expect to see?

Extension activation sooner.

What did you see instead? Under which circumstances?

Stalling and loading for a minute.

Possible Solution

• Test by disconnecting vpn

• Is there a way to cancel a promise at a certain point? The current getNamespaceList has a timeout but it doesn't seem to work.
