Quickly went through the workflow and things are just really smooth. Your Quickconnect workflow is definitely the fastest way to access the remote hierarchy.
A few technical comments on the first section. Otherwise, I am inclined to get this published on idr.openmicroscopy.org as soon as possible so that people can start using the new instructions

I think in the standard FTP terminology the host is ftp.ebi.ac.uk while /pub/databases/IDR is the default remote directory. Using the Site Manager, this is how the configuration would be set-up

Yes, thank you, I was able to follow the workflow using Site Manager as you suggest.
I think we should not add it as a default, and maybe go with the "Quickconnect" workflow only ?
Then, later, we can possibly add it in a separate PR (if needed) ?

I don't think there is much value to be honest. Since it's anonymous connection and the quickconnect workflow nicely parses host + remote location, we should advertise this.
I consider storing a permanent reference to the FTP site on Filezilla outside the scope of this document.

Yes it's the same process i.e. there is a cron job watching for newest releases and auto-updating the static website. Feel free to tag |

I have opted for simpler instructions than indicated in the g.doc above, to be in line with the present Aspera instructions style.
