1:2.3.1 Service-oriented Device Point-of-care Interoperability (SDPi) – Overview & Framework

Priority

  • High: Important issue where there is major issue to be resolved. Requires discussion and debate.

Issue

Unlike nearly all of the referenced standards that SDPi profiles, it does not have a general "Scope" statement that covers all four component profiles. This impacts the ability of some external standards referencing sections to include a clear statement that differentiates SDPi from other standards, such as those in IEEE, ISO, and IEC. Creating a Scope statement that comprehends all four of the profiles, as well as future related profiles (e.g., MDIRA) would be very helpful.

Proposed Change

Add a Scope section & statement to section 1:2.3.1 that can be explicitly referenced and clearly indicates the indicated application area addressed by the profiles.
