Background and Summary
This recipe demonstrates one of the foundational use cases of IIIF being able to reconstruct manuscripts that have been dispersed between institutions. It uses two images one that is a background manuscript image and one that is the illustration. The manuscript image is painted first on to the IIIF canvas followed by the illustration which is painted at specific coordinates on the canvas so it is in the correct location. It is different to the Choice recipe (#87) in that all images should be displayed rather than allowing the user to choose which image.
Note there is a discussion on the support in Mirador in this recipe.
