Dear Helpdesk,

In the middle of the week of the 11th of December 2023, half of the ortho datasets of Luxembourg started to be reported as not viewable, while they were before. We don't understand what could have happened:

  • It appears that nothing has changed on our side
  • The datasets had been reported as "viewable" for the last years, including for 2 last R&M at least.

Here are links to metadata to illustrate:

An harvest has been made 16 days ago (sandbox), still showing this situation.
This situation would make the R&M % viewable indicator decrease for Lux, while it might not reflect reality.

  • Could you have a look?
  • The linkage checker tool was very handy. I don't find it anymore. Is it still available somewhere?

Thank you!

I obtain non viewable datasets by filtering in the harvester (sandbox)

Dear @MatAlps ,
the issues related to the geoportal should be reported in the dedicated geoportal helpdesk. The geoportal helpdesk team have already been notified by us and should now move this issue into the dedicated helpdesk and have a look asap. Alternatively, if you want, you can close this issue and open a new one in the dedicated helpdesk.

Dear @MatAlps - Thank you for raising this issue. As part of the analysis of the revamped INSPIRE Geoportal which was launched on 24 November 2023, based on GeoNetwork Open Source version 4.2.6, the JRC also noticed the low accessibility indicators obtained by the newly delivered system.
To prevent this error from affecting Member States and EFTA countries during the INSPIRE Monitoring and Reporting 2023, an alternative approach for evaluating accessibility of datasets through view and download services was developed. It implements Part A of the Data-services linking simplification good practice. The approach will be explained in detail during the 77th MIG-T Meeting.
In addition, we are working with the GeoNetwork community to improve the evaluation and processing of dataset accessibility in this software tool, capturing all lessons learnt and Member States’ feedback during the mentioned monitoring process in order to enhance the INSPIRE Geoportal.
