Description of the problem

This problem was reported as a climate4R issue SantanderMetGroup/climate4R#19, but it affects the NetCDF files generated by the Interactive Atlas.

To Reproduce

  1. Download data from the Interactive Atlas as netcdf
  2. The netcdf-java library cannot find the variables in the file

Expected behavior

The files should be readable

This is a system-independent problem

The GDAL library used in the backend of the Interactive Atlas was modifying critical metadata from the original files. This issue has been fixed in the development version. The next update of the Interactive Atlas will fix the problem.

Fixed in the version published on 21 December 2021. Please let us know if you find any other problems.
