Unexpected cell output for 3d matrices

• I followed the official installation instructions
• I reproduced the error with the newest versions of IRkernel, IRdisplay, and repr
• I included a minimal reproducible example
• This the right repository: I think the issue is with IRkernel, not
  IRkernel/repr or a third party repository

I was trying to create 3d matrices by setting the dim value of a sequence but the output shows a single vector:

The expected output, I think, should be something more like the original from R terminal:

I know that the data is captured correctly in the notebook (ipynb below) but for some reason the rendering does not represent a 3d matrix.

The same happens for 4d matrices and probably any other higher dimension.

same issue for me. The output doesnt render newlines.
