Sprint 4 (16.04 ‐ 29.04)

Sprint Goal:

Our API should include road segments with weather data for the segments. The API should include documentation about how to use it (focusing on descriptions, not design).

Sprint Planning:

Sprint planning held 16.04.2018, two new tasks introduced to the backlog along with finalizing the last user story from Sprint 3 (#24). Definitons of done and How to demo defined for new tasks.

Sprint Demo:

We held a demo for our supervisor and course staff the 16th of April. We discussed the changes in the project since last demo for them, and displayed some data through Qgis.

Sprint Retrospective:

What went well:

• Supervisor meeting
• Milestones inside the Sprint
• Task distribution
• Estimation with dependencies
• Cleared hour-debt
• Docker container implemented
• Good chapter 7 meeting with the whole group
• Demo went well

What could have gone better:

• Jumping on QA
• Too much report work
• Poor estimation again
• Did not follow milestones on story 8
• Should have more issues per story
• Planning for Story 29
• Unforseen docker complications
• Productivity could have been better (more stable)
• Still not sure how to QA
• Dev -> Master earlier

What can we do to improve:

• Pair QA
• QA checklist in PR template
• Assignee on checkbox text
• More detailed milestones
• Recap after stand-up
• Allocate resources to stories first, report later
• Earlier, defined time for master PR
• Plan more, at least two people to discuss story (#29)
• Whip harder, better, faster, stronger
• Clearer report issues for assignees
