BlenderBim - copying annotations from one drawing to another does not show #2966
Comments
I can't seem to recreate this. Can you test again? |
Bump @Plae-Blue-Dot ? |
What I am trying to do is copy an individual annotation from one drawing to another, maybe I am not following the correct process but here it is: Step 1: Step 2: Right click on the annotation and "copy object" Step 3: Select the other drawing and "Paste object" When you press print it does not have the text: If you save the Ifc, Exit and reload it to BlenderBim the copied annoation text is no longer there: It repeats pretty reliably, not sure if this is a feature request rather? Here is the test file I used: |
Ah yes now I see. Yeah I guess in theory it's a feature request. Cool now I understand :) |
+1 :) |
Is there currently a clever way to duplicate text/annotation, and apply it to another drawing ifcgroup? |
Hey @theoryshaw , the current way I do it is this: How to copy annotations Step: 1 load the IfcGroups in the Scene Properties under IfcProject Setup: Step 3: After you paste, drag the annotations into the chosen collection in the outliner Step: 4 Select the copied objects(dims et) and go to the Object Properties/ Ifc Utilities/ IfcGroups Step: 5 Toggle assigning groups / Assign the new group (will appear below) Step: 6 Remove from old view Ifc Group:
