macfa-mode

The macfa-mode is a emacs package that allows you to set firstmost of macos app by system process name. In other words, by using package you will have the ability to switch from Emacs to other application interfaces.

install

usage

use macfa/install-macfa to generate function that activate MacOS application.

macfa/install-macfa has tow parameters. the first parameter is system process name of application. the second parameter is optional, you can use it to customize the generated function name, Otherwise, the system process name is used as default.

after finishing generating function, you can use M-x or bind a key to call it.

for example:

(macfa/install-macfa "finder") ;; ==> macfa-finder
(macfa/install-macfa "Google Chrome") ;; ==> macfa-google-chrome
(macfa/install-macfa "Zotero") ;; ==> macfa-zotero
(macfa/install-macfa "sioyek")  ;; ==> macfa-sioyek
(macfa/install-macfa "zathura")  ;; ==> macfa-zathura

;; customize your function name, because generate macfa-网易有道词典 as default.
(macfa/install-macfa "网易有道词典" "youdao")  ;; ==> macfa-youdao
