Test Profiles: What are they used for?

During Device development, manufacturers are using RF emulator setups to calibrate their cellular modem.
Major manufacturers of such RF emulators are

In order to be able to connect the device to the RF emulator and perform tests, the manufacturers need an eUICC with a special test profile fitting to the test setup.
Those profiles not only have a static IMSI, but also some other parameters like Applicaiton Key and PINs have special test setup values.

The RF emulator manufacturers as well as the GSMA have developed test profiles:
