Cortex support for Microsoft Word

Cortex Subtasks that interact with Microsoft Word without requiring Microsoft Word to be installed on the Cortex application server.

The module allows users to perform the following functionality by means of Subtasks:

  • CWD-Create-Word-Document

This subtask is used to create a new Word document. It uses an existing document as a template. That document template should have the extension .docx

  • AWD-Add-Word-Dials

This subtask is used to add gauges to the Word document.

  • AWH-Add-Word-Heading

This subtask is used to add a heading to the Word document

  • AWL-Add-Word-List

This subtask adds a bullet list to the Word document

  • AWP-Add-Word-Paragraph

This subtask adds a new paragraph to the Word document

  • AWT-Add-Word-Table

This subtask adds a table to the Word document

  • AWTC-Add-Word-TableofContents

This subtask adds a Table Of Contents to the Word document

Related objects

For ease of use a demo flow has been added to demonstrate the usage of the above mentioned subtasks. The flow is called Word-Document-Testing and contains references to the path on the server where the Word template document can be found.

Installation Instructions

Download the Studio Package file and Import it into your Cortex Environment. Don't forget to apply rights using the Studio Authorization module.

👍 Enjoy! 😉
