I have a suggestion for animated frames
/afstart, /afpause, /afstop and /afreplace
This will allow for a more percise control over each map. So it would be easier to make something like a countdown from a gif, synced with an audioserver. Also would be handy for performance [Stopping/pausing some not that much seen maps]
/afstart - starts it, from where the frame is
/afpause - pauses it at the current frame
/afstop - stop playing the gif, and goes to the first frame
/afreplace - alows replacing the gif, if gif is paused or stopped, the changed gif wont show until it has been started

This has also been sent as a pm, to bring it to your attention. But also want to see some other users input

Added /afstart, /afpause and /afstop in 4.6.0-SNAPSHOT.
I'll have to see if there's a way to add /afreplace, since the plugin doesn't really support quick replacement of the images.
