Empty entity reference on typed relation field crashes JSON-LD

Normally this won't happen, because the GUI prevents it, but if you make a mistake migrating typed relation fields and create one with no entity reference it will WSOD when you try to view the node's JSON-LD.

We should catch this case and issue a warning rather than dying.
