This project analyzes movies using various data science techniques to determine if they will be successful, which is defined as earning a revenue greater than three times the production budget. The dataset used to train the models used in this project is The Movies Dataset.

Getting Started

Follow the directions below to generate a model to predict movie success.

Prerequisites

In order to clone this repository, git lfs needs to be installed. In addition, a version of R and RStudio are required.

Installing

  1. Clone the repository with git and git lfs to obtain the source code

  2. Open the models.Rmd file in RStudio and install the packages at the top using install.packages("name")

  3. Knit the models.Rmd file to creeate your model
