Edit: back from a 3 1/2 hour walk, and had an urge to listen to Paul Mørk featuring Nurs - Choke Me and only that for the entire walk, so I guess that's a current favourite again too. Pulsating, filthy, decadent, hedonistic, techno perfection from France.
  • Favourite book at the moment? Ghosts of My Life: Writings on Depression, Hauntology and Lost Futures by Mark Fisher. It's almost entirely stuff from his blog and is more of a gateway into the concept of hauntology, but I'm all about that so if I have to choose just one book, it'll be that. I miss Mark Fisher.
  • Favourite artist at the moment: So, so, so many. Always. But I'm going to say Terence Koh, because his 2004 work These Decades That We Never Sleep, Black Drums is that one artwork above all that I wish, wish, wish I would've made, and I will spend the rest of my life trying to make my own Black Drums. I'll never succeed, of course, and that's the best part.
  • Favourite thing to do at the moment: Make ridiculous sound improvs with voice, guitar, electric violin, theremin and synths via an eyewatering number of FX pedals. Hardware-only these days, and I'm so into it. Also playing with faulty scanners.
