Spotify Grid Play

Grid Play is a sample Spotify App showing a tracklist that is rendered as multiple covers. It uses the legacy Spotify Apps API version 0.x.

Goal

The default views controls allow rendering a tracklist as a vertical list of tracks, or rendering a cover with a play button that plays the context of the tracklist.

This app shows another option, where each track is rendered using its cover and a play button, and they are synchronized to play in order.

Installation

  1. Sign up for a developer account on Spotify
  2. Open Terminal, mkdir ~/Spotify
  3. cd ~/Spotify
  4. git clone git://github.com/JMPerez/spotify-grid-play.git
  5. Download the latest version of Spotify
  6. Open Spotify and type "spotify:app:spotify-grid-play" in the search bar
