This is our thesis project. It is essentially a study in determining whether a web-based communication platform is effective in boosting one's academic performance.
This project was built with love using PHP, Laravel, Blade, Vue, and JavaScript.

The motivation behind this project came from a collective disruption in learning that the COVID-19 lockdown brought. The unexpected shift from physical learning to a virtual space has created a negative impact on the students and highlighted the increase of academic burnout during distance learning.
To provide a solution to the evident problem of lack of motivation and increased academic burnout during distance learning, our team came up with an idea of developing a web-based communication platform with the main purpose of encouraging emotional support and peer collaboration.
- Clone the repository.
git clone https://github.com/JSintos/AAF-Maker.git
- Go inside the project directory.
cd Arka
- Install the Composer dependencies.
composer install
- Install the NPM dependencies.
npm install

Create a copy of the
.env.examplefile and rename it to.env. DO NOT simply rename the.env.examplefile to.env. -
Generate an app encryption key.
php artisan key:generate

Create an empty database for the project and name it
arka. -
Edit the Pusher properties (PUSHER_APP_ID, PUSHER_APP_KEY, PUSHER_APP_SECRET) in your
.envfile. Get the values from Joshy. -
Run the database migrations.
php artisan migrate
- Manifest the custom captcha configuration.
php artisan vendor:publish
