Speak Deezer

A command-line music player script that lets you search for and play songs and get the lyrics from Deezer's music library.

Getting Started

These instructions will help you get a copy of the project up and running on your local machine.

Prerequisites

To run this project, you'll need to have the following installed on your machine:

• Python 3
• pygame
• requests
• unidecode
• bs4

Installing

Clone the repository to your local machine:

git clone https://github.com/JWLMT88/speakDeezer.git

Install the required dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Usage

Run the deezer_player.py script:

python deezer.py

Follow the on-screen instructions to search for and play songs.

Future Ideas

• Implement a user authentication system so users can create and save their own playlists.(Done)
• Add support for video playback, allowing users to watch music videos in addition to playing songs.
• Integrate with other music streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, giving users more options for finding and playing music.
• Create a recommendation system that suggests songs based on a user's listening history or preferences.
• Implement a voice command feature that allows users to control the player with their voice.
• Add a social feature that allows users to share their playlists and discover new music based on what their friends are listening to.
• Develop a mobile app version of the player, allowing users to access their music on-the-go.
• Implement a lyrics feature that displays the lyrics of the currently playing song.
• Create a smart playlist feature that automatically generates playlists based on different criteria, such as genre or mood.
• Add support for live streaming concerts and events, allowing users to watch performances in real-time.
