Using JabRef 5 dev version on Windows 10 with a new IBM ThinkPad Intel Core i5-7200U, 16 GB RAM, (am Strom-Netz -> d.h. maximale Performance).

Sorry, I have to do this in German.

Wenn ich Text eingebe (z.B. im "Titel", "Kommentar", "keywords") schreibe ich mit 10 Fingern und einer durchschnittlichen mäßigen Geschwindigkeit (~ 250 Anschläge / Minute).

Trotzdem reagiert JabRef und der Cursor im Textfeld sehr träge, "überhört" Tastenanschläge und produziert entsprechend falschen Text. Der Cursor kommt gar nicht so schnell mit, wie ich Schreibe.

Ok, es ist Java. Aber so lahm, war das mal in den 90ern - nicht heute.
Woran liegt das?

I still do not trust this but for the moment the performance is OK (not good) because of #5071
