Welcome to the 2JR wiki!
2JR is being developed by Jason Gallagher, Ryan Cunningham, Joey Haggerty.
What is it
2JR is an IEEE 802.15.4 implementation similar to Xbee and Zigbee.
Why
We are developing this implementation for our senior design project at Drexel University in Philadelphia PA. The protocol is meant to be used with wireless home security IoT devices, which often rely on small batteries to operate. We have set a goal of reducing the amount of data transmitted by 15% to limit the energy used through data transmission by these devices.
