My name is Jelani Rhinehart and I am a software developer. As a child, I always had an interest in technology and began to teach myself some basic programming when I was 13.

After high school, I knew I wanted to continue coding. I enjoyed creating my own CS projects and wanted more tools in my arsenal to make bigger, better applications. I pursued computer science at both the University of Washington and the University of Texas, and now I’m currently doing a software development certification bootcamp.

I aim to deliver software solutions that not only meet the needs and expectations of users but also contribute to their overall satisfaction and positive experience.

Some of my greatest strengths are my attention to detail, thinking critically, problem-solving, listening, and being reliable. I am also very self-motivated and have a lot of perseverance. This has helped me perform well in school and create numerous coding projects driven by my own initiative.

In the future, I envision myself with a career in full-stack web development or developing mobile applications for Android and IOS. Also going forward, I hope to assist women of color in their learning of computer science to help close the gender and diversity gap in the field and inspire more coders. I am open to any opportunities that can help me with these goals.

Besides coding, I like to play the drums and dance (sometimes at the same time).

One of my strengths is my attention to detail and another one is my problem-solving skills. I use these to deliver quality, reliable software.

I pay close attention to what is being shared with me and acknowledge different perspectives. I believe that everyone's voice in a team is important and beneficial.

I think diversity is very important in a workplace. Varied experiences and perspectives can lead to the creation of more innovative software. It enables developers to better anticipate user's needs and preferences, leading to more user-centric software.

I work toward a high standard of performance and take responsibility for my timeliness and quality of work. Integrity is one of my personal values. It's important to me to be authentic and reliable.
