An android app that geolocates news based on Named-Entity Recognition (NER) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). The application was made using the Flutter development kit, Firebase, and AYLIEN API.
The app makes use of found NER tokens that are categorized as specific locations from scraped news articles and then pinpoints where they occured on a map user interface.
