The proposed schedule for the release of v5.3.4 is as follows:

  • Monday 10th June 2024 - PR merging freeze, apart from docs and bug fixes. Kick off the banner artwork competition
  • Thursday 27th June 2024 - Release of v5.3.4

I intend to review the remaining tickets listed in #7856:

@Jermolene -- I do have 2 important ones, that are needed to allow me to convert dumpvariables - rewrite into a plugin

Then there are several others which contain a lot of quality of live improvements. Most of them where requested at Talk. Some of the are waiting for review for several month. The earlier new PR are pushed to the prerelease the better they can be tested. If everything is "rushed" near a release date, there is not enough time to fix things.

Then there are some important drafts and PRs which will prevent fatal failure using transclusions

While I think it does matter, I cannot easily proof it at the moment. I do have no problem, if this one is pushed after v5.3.4. I think the other PRs from my earlier post are more important.

I don't know if it's too late to offer also #7990, but I would love to see it included too.
