If anyone is looking, I've managed to build MKVmerge 58.0.0 for Linux (x86, x86_64, ARMhf/ARMv7 and ARM64) and macOS (x86 and M1) on my fork. I didn't have time to bother with Windows, but you can extract a prebuilt MKVmerge binary from the official 7z downloads.

I hope to someday update to the latest MKVmerge, but I just wanted to get everything building before I bother with building Qt too.

I wonder if it's possible to compile all the other cli apps statically
