Haaaai. Ongaku dai suki! -- great idea! @Kazu-moris if you're 'in', you might want to get in touch with @soma11soma11 and then start planning your project. If you need any help finding teammates or planning out your project to get started, just let me know in the Gitter chat: https://gitter.im/ColonyHackathon/Lobby |
@soma11soma11 does the "no" mean you don't want more team members or you just don't have any added yet? Let us know if we can help. |

Colony Hackathon Submission
Project Title
Ongaku mura
Project Description
The aim of the Ongaku mura (music village in Japanese) is to reward the avid moderators in WhoSampled with Colony tokens. WhoSampled is a music web service where users can explore who sampled whose musics. The database is created by users - "WhoSampled is open to everyone to submit information about a sample, cover song or remix, and subject to approval it will be added to the database, published across our platforms, to be discovered and discussed by the world." While the service is experiencing continuous growth in its domain with 518,390 songs currently uploaded on the database, its success has heavily relied on "moderators" who check each time songs information are uploaded. With the current system, upon the completion of the checks, moderators are compensated with virtually non-valuable "Cred" - "Cred is designed to show others your level of knowledge and cannot be spent/redeemed in any way." We believe, by harnessing the power of Colony network, we can reward the moderators with the practically valuable tokens, which is expected to make the business model of WhoSampled more sustainable, and furthermore, contribute to the expansion of their database. *This project will be potentially processed through the collaboration with WhoSampled. (Meeting with CEO of WhoSampled is scheduled on the 20th)
