Being able to reduce the number of linters this project depends on does sound quite appealing! I haven't looked at the eslint-plugin-mdx/remark-lint ecosystem in a little while. Nothing against them, just haven't had time to investigate myself. 馃槃

If you (or anybody else) could send a draft PR as a point of comparison that'd be great.
