The repro is

julia> f(x) = sqrt(prod(x))
f (generic function with 1 method)

julia> x = big.(ones(2));

julia> diffres = DiffResults.HessianResult(x);

julia> ForwardDiff.hessian!(diffres, f, x)
ERROR: UndefRefError: access to undefined reference
