The one build failure is an "LLVM out of memory" error, the one test failure is an inference issue in the abstractarray tests, which cannot be related to the code removal here. I'll run pkgeval to make sure that the removed functions haven't sneaked out to the ecosystem. @nanosoldier |

This code was introduced in the v1.10 cycle, so has not been released. It needed to stay to have the included SparseArrays.jl pass CI tests. After the latest bump, though, this is no longer required. We should backport this to make sure this doesn't get released, even as internal functions.
