This issue is related specifically to a scripting bug/error
It seems that after getting Zaalbar back when resolving the Kashyyyk plot, he reverts to his state at the start of The Great Walkway. This allows an equipment duplication glitch, since anything unequipped from him just before hitting the trigger for the gate guard in front of the village will be still equipped on the returned version. The script (
k_pkas_meetking
) that removes him from the party inkas22_wookg2_01.dlg
presumably needs the addition of aSaveNPCState
